Hello to those kicking the art tire...Artbeat Activities is a locally run, personally owned business by artist/educator Sue Hanlon. I am based out of Sparwood, BC and have a bachelor of Arts and Science / Bed. degree with over 30 years of teaching experience.  My children have left the nest and I find myself at a crossroads.  Do I hide away in my art studio and create all by myself (I know many would LOVE that idea...) or do I go public with it and share what knowedge I have with others. I enjoy creating art but really like to share in the enthusiasm of creating with others. So many don't take the time or think they can create an artpiece of interest and skill.  But I believe that there is creativitiy in all of us and with a little instruction, encouragment and a fun social atmosphere , we can make our "Art beat" again in the presence of good friends.  So the premiss behind Artbeat Activities is to create an environment and an activity where we can create Fun vs. Fine art, in a social setting.  So let that inner artist out to play again (regardless of your pre-concieved abilities.)
